Formerly known by the name 'Franklin Quest Field', the Franklin Covey Field in Salt Lake City, Utah is a stadium that was opened in 1994 and mainly hosts baseball games. The stadium is located on old Derk's Field that was previously the ball park of Salt Lake City's minor league. It is home to the Salt Lake Bees minor league and can hold a capacity of 15,500 people. The stadium also hosts many games of the University of Utah every year. Presently, the stadium is home to the Pacific Coast League, Salt Lake Buzz.
The Franklin Covey Field is first among the new crop of AAA double-decked stadiums in the US. The stadium is beautiful and is located in between an area that is primarily residential and the commercial part of the downtown district.
The stadium is easy to locate. You can watch a game of baseball, sitting comfortably in seats enclosing the field. The restrooms are clean and there are many concessions available.
Watching a game from the grandstand is fun but the best part of the stadium is the view of the Wasatch Mountains. The upper level seats also have great views of the mountains. The stadium has a decent roof to give you protection from the vagaries of weather. The angular border between the infield dirt and the outfield grass is interesting and lends personality to the stadium.
