Sports Arenas and Venues in Salt Lake City

You can find concerts, special shows, sporting events, and a variety of other entertainment options at the sporting arenas in the Salt Lake City area. There are several fine entertainment and sporting venues throughout the area, giving you a variety of options to choose from.

Delta Center (Formerly Energy Solutions Arena)

The Delta Center, also know as the Energy Solutions Area, is one of the major concert venues in the western United States and is also the home of the NBA's Utah Jazz. The venue was built in 1991 as the the Energy Solutions Arena, and the name was changed within a few years to the Delta Center when Delta Airlines bought the naming rights. This indoor arena seats twenty thousand spectators and has an additional fifty-six luxury suites and seven hundred club seats. Previous concerts held here have included the U2 Vertigo Tour and the Rolling Stones Bigger Bang Tour. The venue is also used as the home field for the Utah Blaze indoor Arena Football League, and has hosted the American Music Awards, the Monster Jam truck race, the NCAA men's college basketball tournament, and many more.

Franklin Covey Field (Formerly Franklin Quest Field)

Franklin Quest Field opened in Salt Lake City in 1994, and has since been renamed the Franklin Covey Field. This baseball stadium is used largely as a host site for Salt Lake City's minor league baseball team, the Salt Lake Bees. Other baseball games are held here as well, including the home games for the University of Utah's baseball team and the Pacific Coast League's Salt Lake Buzz. This stadium is known for its modern design featuring double-decked stadium seating. The venue is easy to locate and sits in a great location not far from the downtown area and with views of the Wasatch Mountains from many of the seats. This large stadium seats 15,500 people and boasts ample parking and concession stands. This field is located at 1365 South West Temple in Salt Lake City.

E Center

The E Center is a first-class entertainment venue that is located in the Salt Lake City suburb of West Valley City, just ten minutes from downtown Salt Lake City. This large entertainment center opened in 1997 and features large arena seating for 12,000, as well as a more intimate setting with seating for 3,700. The venue is largely used for musical concerts, and in the past has hosted Shania Twain, Prince, the Moody Blues, Sarah McLachlan, and others. The venue is used to host national entertainment shows such as Lord of the Dance, the World Wrestling Entertainment's Smackdown Live, Sesame Street Live, the Wiggles, and more. In addition, trade shows, conventions, and other special events are held here throughout the year.
