The Alta Ski Resort is a popular family resort just outside of Salt Lake City near Park City. This fine resort boasts dozens of trails for all ability levels, as well as a Nordic Track, a ski school, a ski shop, rental lockers, and ski storage. To add to your convenience on the slopes, Alta offers on-site dining at the base of the slope and mid-mountain, and also features on-site childcare and kids' programs.
At the Brighton Ski Resort, you will find breathtaking scenery and over 1,000 skiable acres set in the Big Cottonwood Canyon. Brighton Ski Resort features 66 runs for all experience levels, and twenty-two of the runs are open for nighttime skiing to give you a truly exciting experience. For a break from skiing, you can hit the terrain park and half pipe on-site.
The Deer Valley Resort is a large ski resort offering you 91 ski runs stretching over 1,800 skiable acres. This resort is popular with beginners because of its many open gladed areas, but it also has a variety of steeper slopes for the experienced skiers. The twenty chairlifts on-site make getting to the top of the slopes easier. This resort gained international attention when it hosted the aerial, mogul, and slalom events in the Olympic Winter Games.
The Park City Mountain Resort is one of the larger ski resorts in the area, with over 100 trails. Just under 20 of these trails are rated for beginner skiers, with the remaining slopes designed to give intermediate and experienced skiers a thrilling experience. Park City Mountain Resort also has an impressive chair lift system that can carry over 27,200 guests per hour to the top of the slopes. Other activities are also available on-site, such as tubing, snowboarding, dog sledding, and sleigh rides.
The Snowbird Resort offers skiers of all skill levels a great time on the slopes. This large resort features 2,500 acres with 89 different runs. The runs are almost equally divided among skill levels, giving you a varied ski experience everyone can enjoy. When you need a break from skiing, the terrain park and super pipe give you a great spot to show off your snowboarding skills. The Snowbird Resort offers a wide variety of dining options, with over 15 restaurants serving snacks, casual meals, and fine dining.
Solitude is a skier's paradise known for its uncrowded slopes and intimate ski experience. Here, you will find 64 runs on 1,200 acres. The back-country experience at Solitude is unparalleled, allowing you to enjoy the scenic beauty of the Wasatch without the hustle and bustle of busy ski resorts. The trails are designed for all experience levels, with an emphasis on the intermediate and experienced levels.
When you ski at the Canyons ski resort, you can sail down the same slopes Olympians from across the globe competed on in the 2002 Olympic Winter Games. The resort is the largest ski resort in the state, with 3,500 skiable acres. There are a wide variety of runs for all skill levels, making it popular for families and friends to enjoy together. The Canyons also boasts sixteen lifts, on-site dining options, lodging, shopping, a health spa, and a ski school.
